USING THE MAPS |
| |
When
you initially view a map, please wait a short
while as the map initially loads. Larger maps with
more information on them will take longer to
download; |
| |
Use
the + and -
shown in
the top right
corner of the map area to
zoom in and out
of the map to see more detail. We have
decided to show the maps 'zoomed out' as default
to show each region as a whole. Please
zoom in to click on any icons and view more
detailed information. If your mouse has a
scroll wheel you should be able to use that to
gradually zoom in and out; |
| |
When a map is
zoomed in, click anywhere on the map and drag to
move around; |
| |
The maps are to
scale and north is at the top; |
| |
We
intend for our maps to be as accurate as possible and
will be adjusting details over the coming months
as necessary. If you do find something that you
believe is a mistake, please
contact us; |
| |
The
Places to Stay that are listed on our maps are
those that are featured on our
main Places to
Stay section. You can turn off all of
the Places to Stay icons on the maps (click on
the relevant link below each map). |

COVERAGE |
| |
This list of
Japanese ski towns covered is by no means
definitive - there are many 'ski towns' in Japan
and over 500 individual ski and snowboard
resorts throughout the country. All of these
resorts are covered on Snow Japan. For
information on all ski and snowboard resorts
throughout the country, please refer to the
Resort section of the site.
So why are we providing maps for these
particular towns? Firstly, these towns are
amongst the most popular ski towns in Japan.
SnowJapan also provides daily reporting from
most of these regions and we also have a large
amount of content on the site covering the
area.
In the future we plan to add new maps to the
section and will announce such additions on the
news section of our
Forums. |
